I saw a polygon picture studio that created the fantasy world of `` airborne dragons '' where people and dragons live together with reality

Polygon Pictures, which has been producing animation for the TV anime ' Airborne Dragons ' that has been broadcasting since January 2020, is a long-established company that is known for producing digital animations for movies, commercials, games and so on. In `` Airborne Dragons '', you can feel as if the dragon, a fictional creature, is a real creature, but this video actually shows the inside of the studio what kind of studio it is produced from Was.

When you enter the office, the colorful partitions and the letters 'POLYGON PICTURES' at the back are the ones that jump into your eyes.

All work processes are integrated on this one floor.

The staff are arranged by process, not by work. At the end is the space for CG directors.

The partition of the aisle is one step higher, so it feels like it is open and well-separated. In CG production, a large number of staff members are required to create models in the early stage of the project, but as the production progresses, the number of required processes varies depending on the time, such as the need for animators, so it is rather fine seating It seems that replacement will be done.

Chairs vary from person to person. Those who needed to see the color exactly had to cover the monitor or attach something like a roof to the desk itself. When changing seats, not only the chair but also the PC you are using will be moved, so it seems difficult ...

Thanks to the colorful partitions, there is not much blockage while being finely divided.

Humidifiers were installed every few blocks.

Humanoids were lined up at the desk of the staff in charge of model creation.

I found the desk of director 'Tady' Naohiro Yoshihira, who is in charge of 'Airborne Dragons'.

On the back side of the large panel on the left side of the desk that I saw earlier, a cutout of the original frame and an image board were stuck tightly. I'm directly asking Mr. Yoshihira what this is, so stay tuned for an interview that will be posted later.

This bust, which was in the reference material section, should have a deep meaning.

This shelf was a little small, and the seals were neatly arranged in the middle.

There are shelves with transformers and Godzilla tails.

James Gurney's '

Color & Light-How to Draw Color and Light for Realism- ' was lined up in three volumes. Is it the same feeling that Richard Williams's ' Animator's Survival Kit ' is always provided on the bookshelf of an animation production company?

At the end, there was a department that developed tools.

The other side of the word 'POLYGON PICTURES' was a rest space, and there were a lot of mangas not in the shelves outside.

And there is a screen just above the letters.

It is said that they sometimes use this space to screen images.

In addition, there are also multiple meeting spaces, but it was said that sometimes the meeting space was insufficient, and a standing space was installed in the aisle.

The office is generally open for polygon pictures, but some are separated by walls.

One of them is the editing room. In order to make the material one process before the broadcast, and to confirm the color correctly, the lighting is dropping considerably.

At the end, we use multi-environment monitors to check if the finished material is ok and final brush up.

Also separated by a large partition was the administration department. The flyer of the work that I worked on was affixed to the partition.

I will return here because 'DO NOT ENTER'.

From here a little back. Behind the strict door is the server room. It may be the heart of Polygon Pictures.

In front of it were servers that had completed their duties.

Large conference room where previews can be made.

If you think that a camera different from the projector is installed, this is for motion capture. The environment that could capture motion was also set up inside the company.

A three-panel panel showing the value of Polygon Pictures, which creates value through three things: group power, creativity, and action.

And to the entrance. The incredible depth is due to the effect of the pattern, which does not make the user feel a blockage.

The carpet had a polygonal pattern.

In addition to 'Airborne Dragons', panels and goods of works that you have worked on, such as '

Levius ' ' HUMAN LOST Human Disqualification ', etc. are displayed.

The trophy was lined up because it won many awards.

This penguin you may be aware of if you are in your 30s or older is Rocky × Hopper, a rockhopper penguin that appeared in the commercial for Shiseido HG Super Hard. As a CG mascot character, he is a pioneer.

After 'Airborne Dragons', I am really looking forward to seeing what kind of works Polygon Pictures will create.
