I tried three kinds of Lawson `` Slime Warabimochi '' that slime of `` Dragon Quest '' became a creamy Western-style warabimochi

The latest work of

Dragon Quest series “ Dragon Quest XI Shunking Time S ”, a role-playing game (RPG) representing Japan, will be released on Friday, September 27, 2019 from Nintendo Switch. To commemorate it, “ Slime Warabimochi ” with the motifs of the Dragon Quest series mascots “Slime”, “Slime Beth” and “Metal Slime” appeared in Lawson on Tuesday, September 24, 2019. I was really worried about what kind of candy the cute slime was finished, so I tried it.

Get all 3 types of slime warabimochi at once.

“Slime Warabimochi” (200 yen including tax) looks like this. Slime, which can be said to be the first monster you encounter while playing the Dragon Quest series, features a blue body. The taste is 'ramune horse mackerel'.

A slime face is drawn on the side of the package, and when viewed from the side, it looks as if the slime is wrapped in the package.

Although it is called Warabimochi, the name is “Western confectionery”. You can see “cream”, “ramune”, “warabi powder”, etc. as raw material names.

Slime warabimochi was packaged in a translucent cup.

I put it on a plate. The shape with protrusions looks exactly like the slime that appears in the game.

When I cut it with a kitchen knife and looked at the cross section, the blue cream and white cream were wrapped in a blue candy.

When you eat it, it has a soft and chewy texture. Its sweetness is the same as ordinary white bean paste, but I enjoyed the scent of ramune and kneaded. The cream is slightly crispy but light.

Slime Beth, the motif of “Slime Beth Warabimochi” (200 yen including tax), has the same face as slime, but has an orange body color. The taste is 'Hyuga Natsuji' according to the color of the body.

From the side

The name of the raw material was written as soft drink (with summer sun juice).

When I cut it in half with a knife, there was orange orange and white cream in an orange bowl.

When you eat it, you can definitely feel a citrus flavor in the back of the texture of the salmon and the sweetness of white bean paste. However, there was no acidity, and it was more sweet and fragrant like orange juice than Hinata Summer.

The last is Metal Slime Warabimochi (200 yen including tax)

Unlike slime and slime beth, which are low-level monsters, metal slime is a fairly strong monster that uses magic. It's also known for being able to escape from battles as well as having low encounter rates and high attack avoidance rates. Another feature is that you can get more experience points than normal monsters by defeating metal slime.

Raw materials include “black sesame paste” and “black sesame”.

Calories are 159 kcal per package, the highest among the three types.

It has a grayish color because it is “Kurogo maji” and reproduces the silver body color of metal slime.

When I cut it, there was black bean paste and white cream in the gray jar.

When you eat it, the rich sesame flavor spreads in your mouth. The scent of sesame kneaded into an anchovy was strong, the texture of pour-pull peculiar to warabimochi, and the gentle sweetness of white bean paste.

Slime Warabimochi, Slime Beth Warabimochi and Metal Slime Warabimochi can be purchased at Lawson nationwide.
