Honda engine won the Grand Prix victory for the first time in 13 years in F1, the first after the return of F1 in 2015 & after the partnership with Red Bull



Aston Martin Red Bull Racing's Max Ferstappen, who has a Honda engine, won the Formula 1 9th Australian Grand Prix in 2019. Honda's first victory after returning to Formula One in 2015, and also including the time of previous participation, became the first victory in the 13th Grand Prix for the first time in 13 years since winning the Hungarian Grand Prix in 2006 .

In the final race, Fel Stappen started from the second grid. Even after losing his place right after the start, he returned to the 4th position when changing tires. In addition, Ferrari's Sebastian Bettel and Mercedes's Bartelli Bottas were overtaken, and with three laps remaining, Ferrari's Charles Leclerc also pulled out to take the lead and just scored.

A contact was made during the overtaking of Leclerc by Fersstappen, so deliberation was conducted after the race, but the decision of a racing accident (not an intentional accident) was given, and Fersstrappen's victory was finalized.



Aston Martin Red Bull Racing and Fel Stappen have won 11 races since the 2018 Mexico Grand Prix. It is the first time for Honda to partner with Red Bull since 2019, after the partnership with Red Bull, for the first time since returning to Formula 1 in 2015, and for the first time in 13 years since Jenson Baton's victory at the 2006 Hungarian Grand Prix It became a Grand Prix conquest.
