Hawaii's main home of 'Eggs' n Things', which is synonymous with process pancake shop, is a tasting review such as 'Sprinkling baked tuna' that is different from Japanese pancake

' Eggs'n Things ', a breakfast restaurant that produces pancakes famous for heaps of whipped cream, is famous in Japan, but originally originated in Hawaii. Although I thought, 'If I can eat even in Japan, I need to go to a store in Hawaii?', I went to the main store in Saratoga, Hawaii, saying that the taste of the place is a little different from Japan. The United States will face an unexpected difference.

Saratoga Street The main office address is '343 Saratoga Rd, Honolulu, HI 96815' and opening hours are from 6 am to 21 am.

Arrive at Eggs' n Things Saratoga store. Eggs' n Things was originally established in Hawaii in 1974, and was taken over by Ms. Yuka Jotono at the timing of the founding couple's retirement in 2008. So, it is said that Saratoga Street Main Store (flagship store) is a store after 2008.

I visited around 7:30 AM, but there were already people waiting for the order in front of the shop.

In this way, the American flag and the state flag of Hawaii are raised.

Here's how it looks in the store. The ground floor is a reception and souvenir section, and the Eat-in place itself is on the second floor.

When I finished my reception, I received an alarm that told me when the turn came. Because there are many Japanese customers, it is written in Japanese, 'The range of the radio wave is to the place where the restaurant can be seen.

I saw the menu hanging on the wall ...

This is also Japanese. There seems to be no worries at all about ordering.

When I thought that there was a menu unique to Hawaii, I thought that a set called 'fresh ahi and eggs' was selected as the best breakfast in Hawaii. Certainly tuna and fresh egg set may not be seen in Japan.

I waited for about 20 minutes and was called, so use the stairs outside the building to go upstairs.

Here's how it looks in the store. When I visited there were no Japanese customers, and it seemed that there were many tourists from the West.

There is also a counter seat where you can see the outside. It is luxurious to be able to have a morning sun and eat breakfast while feeling the wind.

Per seat ...

What surprised me when I opened the menu was the number of items. Eggs' n Things have a strong image of pancake, but in the menu, side dishes other than pancake were pushed forward.

There is also a Saratoga head office limited special set. A two-person sized side dish plate and a cream cake pancake were set.

There are also many types of omelet.

There was also a 'healthy alternative set' that did not use meat. Vegan hamburgers and gluten allergy menus were also lined up.

The potato doka burger also makes me feel America.

This time, in addition to the 'fresh ahi and eggs' ($ 15/1670 yen) I saw on the first floor, I ordered the 'Omelet of Spam & Green Onions' ($ 12 / approx. 1340 yen) that was not on the

Japanese menu . I was able to choose pancake, white rice, brown rice, home-made potato as a set in the omelet, but when I chose the pancake, a considerable volume arrived in three sheets.

This is a set of 'fresh ahi and eggs'. Ahi, that is, tuna is 'Please choose from Saute, Cajun, sprinkle', so I ordered 'What is sprinkle?' ...

It was really sprinkled with seaweed sprinkled and sauteed.

The tuna is a medium rare and wonderfully baked. I thought, 'How is it sprinkled on tuna saute?', But the aroma and saltiness of seaweed and sesame add to the original taste of tuna, and it was exquisite while combining unknown. It's a kind of Japanese-friendly taste that you think, 'I will sprinkle sprinkles at home and try to saute it'.

Here too, I chose brown rice because I could choose from white rice, brown rice, potatoes, and pancake. This choice was correct because the tuna seasoned quite well with the rice.

And to the omelet pancake set.

I compared the omelet with the 123.8 mm iPhone SE. This volume

In Japan, an omelet called “semi-sweet fluffy” is popular, but it is a hard-to-eat omelet that has been firmly fired to solidify it. There are plenty of ingredients and spam and green onions, so it's a good response.

The salsa, which was in the set, is mild in taste and can feel the fresh acidity and fruitiness of the tomato. Because it adds a crisp stimulus, it is good when you want to change the taste of a huge omelet.

And this is a pancake of three sheets.

There are no creamy cream and whipped butter, so try it with butter. Pancakes of Eggs'n things of Japan are slightly thin and sticky dough, and elements of 'melt in the mouth' such as softness and feeling of softness were felt, but the pancake of Saratoga Street Main Store is thick and thick is. It is plump, but it has a distinctive texture that seems to be heard from the inside of the mouth as 'Mugyu ... Mugyu ...'. There is an unbelievable difference from the pancake in the same store, and it seems like 'I would expect to be America', but I felt that it was finished in accordance with the weather and openness of Hawaii.

When I pulled the cut dough, it felt like this, and it rolled up with 'Mochiy'.

The table has maple syrup, coconut syrup and guava syrup, just like in Japan.

The various syrups can be enjoyed with the addition of syrup, so simple pancakes and snacks can also be filled with sweetness.

In addition, in the souvenir corner on the first floor ...

A Hawaii-limited pancake mix ($ 6.22 for approx. 230 g / approximately ¥ 700) is sold where Eggs' n Things pancake can be eaten at the house ...

You can also purchase the original Kona coffee ($ 19.5 / approximately ¥ 2200 for approximately 200 g).

Original place mats and aloha shirts were also sold.

At Saratoga Street Main Store, which is open from 6 am to 21 am, you can always have a breakfast menu in a spacious space. You can eat pancake and hawaii dishes that have different tastes and flavors from Eggs' n Things in Japan, so it's well worth the trip.

There are a total of 4 Eggs' n Things on Oahu Island in Hawaii, and it is recommended to check on the website as the set menu seems to be different in each shop.
