Helix Chamber has published its own Pokemon Red and Green prototype data. Data obtained are various, such as the title logo and game screen which was drawn as an initial design plan, and it says that "everything that was available is open to the public".

The initial title proposal of "Pokémon red / green" is the following two. The left is "CAPSULE MONSTERS" and it is described as "paper material" because it is described as "I lost the ink of the printer and made it easy to see". On the right is written "Pokemon", and sidebands are arranged between "P" and "M". It can be said that the design of the finished version from the initial design is not so big and the appearance has not changed.

An image of Helix Chamber's early Pokemon design plans arranged like an illustration data. There are over 151 kinds of Pokemon, and many Pokemon that I have not seen can be found.

Pocket monsters If you collect designs that never appeared in red and green, it feels like this. Although the design at the bottom center seems to have been diverted as the back of Kamele , there are also several things that became completely bothered.

In the initial design plan guide number 21, "Omega" is an unfamiliar Pokemon. Helix Chamber points out that "the design seems to be a mechanical mezzola."

Helix Chamber wrote that "Gyaoon" in the illustration number 31 had a big influence on Bangiras which appeared in "Pokemon Gold and Silver".

"Barunda" in the illustration number 50 seems like a balloon at first sight, but the possibility that a purine was born as another design candidate of Barunda is pointed out.

There is a mysterious creature like Snow man in the illustration number 52. Helix Chamber wrote that it must have been designed inspired by Woo , one of the Ultra monsters.

In pictorial number 56 there is obviously a deer-like "Deer" Pokemon. It will not be hard to imagine what it would have become an oddsy later.

"Elephantko (Erefanko)" of the picture book number 61, the famous elephant in Japan Hanako because it was made with the motif, a possibility that "U" is attached to the end of the name has been pointed out.

"Blottle" in the illustration number 63 and "Pendraken" 122 is a squid shaped monster. Although not written as a sentence, Helix Chamber wrote, "The evolution of Blottle (left) looks like Pendraken (right)."

In books 79 and 80 are apparently bird-like monsters. If you look closely you can see that there are something like fin and you can guess that it is a monster that looks like a bird or a fish. It looks like Maruko 's Puku Puku in appearance.

A monster like a mysterious head in the chart numbers 86 and 87. Helix Chamber wrote, "I thought it was the initial design proposal of Spear , but it seems to be different," and it is unknown what kind of design it led to Pokemon.

The image below is the monster that was designed in the evolutionary form of that Kodak , and that was further evolved as Golderk . "The Japanese name is probably" ZUDAC ".

There is something " Carrara's mother the Garura theory ", but there are monsters in the early design plan as if they prove the connection between Caracalla and Garura . It is the following Pokemon, although it looks like a rattle which is an evolutionary form of Karakara, I understand somehow that I have a child like a kangaroo near that stomach. This monster was invented as an evolutionary form of rattle in the initial design.

Pokemon evolving into three stages that was invented in the initial design plan "Kotora"

When evolving PONYTA become, it was invented in the position of "Puchicorn".

Not only the design proposal of Pokemon, but also the design proposal of characters appearing are released.

Animation at the beginning of the game, "When you go to Pokemon's world! Let's go!" Is like this.

"STUDENT (student)" to "COOL TRAINER (cool cool trainer)"

Firefighter-like character ......

Character named "Yujiriu".

According to Mr. Sugimori Illustrator who is a director at Game Freak which is the developer of the Pocket Monster series, the character named Yujirawu was supposed to be the first Jim Leader to appear before Takeshi.

Data on many other initial designs has been released, so please check the following if you are interested.
