Although it is a new model, it is a common design taste with the iPad series so far, especially the difference with the iPad Air is not found except where the home button has been changed to TouchID which can be authenticated with fingerprints. However, if it sees closely, it is said that the finish around the bezel shines shiny in the iPad Air, whereas the iPad 5 has a matte finish and it has a calm image.

The Touch ID button of "iPad 5" is a literal "button", it is not a pressure-sensitive home button adopted in iPhone 7 generation.
