According to Twitter, the bug occurred in the password recovery system and it was repaired within 24 hours after discovery as last week. However, this bug states that although the password of the account did not leak, the possibility that a mail address and telephone number of only a few users leaked out can not be ruled out. In addition, although it is said to be "very few", according to Twitter supplement is attached to less than 10,000 active users.

Twitter acknowledges the possibility of user's personal information leakage due to this bug seriously and apologizes. The bug has already been fixed, but users who have the possibility of leakage of personal information have already been notified, and users who have not received the notification have no possibility of information leakage.
