Samsung decided to withdraw from desktop PC business

Samsung Electronics (Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.), Korea's leading consumer electronics and electronic products maker, announced that it is a policy to abolish the desktop PC business which has not gained much profit, according to the stake of the company. In future it will distribute power to tablets and all-in-one laptops.

In January 2013Intel suggests withdrawing from motherboard market for desktop PCAs you can see, desktop PC demand is falling is a worldwide trend. Also in Samsung Electronics, tablet, all-in-one notebook PC, and hybrid PC are central, desktop PC business is getting less profitable.

Samsung Electronics says that the Korean government decided to distribute desktop PC business to portable terminals because it designates the desktop PC business as "a business suitable for a small company" from 2015.
