Au speeds up the 4G LTE communication speed, up to 100 Mbps reception

The communication speed of 4G LTE currently provided by au is 75 Mbps maximum at reception and 25 Mbps maximum at transmission. This was about 8 times the download speed done in 3G.


However, models released this summer are even faster from some areas. The maximum communication speed is 100 Mbps and the maximum transmission is 15 Mbps.


The correspondence area as of May 20, 2013 is the Shikoku region such as Kagawa prefecture and Ehime prefecture.
