However, the actual battle is not necessarily done only when the sun is rising. In the educational exercise held at night, simulated shooting demonstration using night vision equipment and light bullets, and simulated defense fighting assuming enemy invasion were performed.

At the time when the surroundings became dark, I visited the Higashi Fuji exercise hall Hataoka district again.


Lighting is attached at the beginning because there is a transmission etc. of the start of the exercise.


The number of audiences has decreased a lot, people in the public almost disappear and they are centered on the persons involved in the SDF.


As in the morning, ground leveling and watering are taking place. The figure of Mt. Fuji is also clearly visible on the right hand side.

I can see green lamps lined up, but this is a substitute for the green flag. I can grasp that there are vehicles like this.



The red lamp indicates that instead of the red flag, it is preparing for fire shooting.


It is an emitter of 74 type tank and shows the shooting target.


This projector seems to be bright enough to read books 1.5 km away and was used for watching overnight warnings during Unzen Fugendake eruption of 1990-1995.


When the lights are turned off, the darkness that the contours of the mountains can hardly be seen. In such a situation, the shooting using the night vision device is performed.

It is the same shooting as daytime, but the impression changes greatly when it is dark.
