U.S. military personnel suicide in 2007 reached the highest in the past 20 years

I found that the number of suicide by US military personnel in 2007 is the largest in the past 20 years. In the harsh battlefield, will the mental state be driven to the extreme state?

Details are from the following.MILITARY SUICIDE RATE: Army suicide rate highest in two decades - chicagotribune.com

Last year the number of suicides of 115 troops of American military personnel increased by 13% from 102 of the previous year, and about a quarter of suicide people committed suicide in Iraq. Furthermore, 10 to 20 times as many soldiers seem to have thought of suicide or tried suicide. U.S. military suicide has been on an upward trend since the outbreak of Afghanistan war and Iraq warfare, with 67 people in fiscal 2004, 85 in 2005 and 102 in 2006, about 20 more people each year I understand. Despite improving mental health in the army, I can not reduce the number of people who commit suicide, I am currently trying to improve by employing specialists.

War is a thing that hurts other people and myself. I hope to stop early.
