"Artificial aurora generator" developed and started demonstration from August

In collaboration with Minami Professor of the Graduate School of Engineering at Osaka City University, we will develop the world's first 'artificial aurora generating device' and will demonstrate this device on 'Enoshima Island Spa' on August 1, 2006.

The aurora that occurs is very large (3m long x 3m wide). It seems that it can give 11 different colors of light emission and various movements.

The aurora with such appeal could not be seen without going to the polar region far, but it was created in a huge vacuum vessel.
