Previously in X, it was possible to limit the accounts that could reply to posts to either ``accounts you follow'' or ``accounts you mentioned with @.'' This time, in addition to these two options, a new option has been added: ``Only verified accounts can reply.''

X offers a subscription service called ``X Premium'', and anyone who subscribes to this service can become a certified account. There are also accounts that are considered officially verified by X even though they are not members.

The ability to restrict replies to only verified accounts is available to anyone, whether or not they subscribe to X Premium. When introducing the feature, X owner Elon Musk commented, ``This should be very useful in countering spambots.''

It is said that by enabling this feature, influential accounts can create a more sophisticated space, but currently there are many verified accounts that are engaging in bot-like activities. Therefore, even if a space where only verified accounts is created, it is unlikely that bots will disappear completely.

As one of the subscription benefits, X offers the ability to 'improve priority in conversations and searches,' highlighting verified accounts. The new ability to limit replies to only verified accounts increases the chance that verified accounts will be noticed.
