Mysterious free game ``E-999'' play review that interacts with someone behind the door with ``local text file''

Seaeees released a free game ' E-999 ' with a mysterious atmosphere, made using Unity , a game development framework, 'progress while exchanging letters with someone on the other side of the door'. So I actually played it.

Create a folder anywhere on your PC before playing. This time, I created a folder named 'e-999'.

The game is developed in Unity and can be played on a PC browser. After a while after the game starts, a letter will be dropped in front of the displayed door. Click this letter.

Then, the download of the text file will start, so save it in the folder you created in advance.

When I opened the saved text file, a message from someone was written.

When I was reading the first message, I heard another popping sound, and when I looked, the second message was dropped.

In the second saved text file is a message 'I want you to tell me your name'.

So, enter 'GIGAZINE' in '' at 'Here ... please ... →' and overwrite it.

Click the door and select and upload the second text file you overwrote earlier from explorer.

Then the letter was thrown from the other side of the door again. A person who calls himself 'E-999' is speaking to me by name.

When I was talking through letters like this, 'I want you to cooperate to open the door.' Thinking about cooperating this time, enter 'yes' and overwrite save.

Then, the message 'I want you to decode the program to open the door'.

And since the ZIP format file was sent from the other side of the door, save it. Since the ZIP format file is password-protected, it is necessary to deduce the password from the records of exchanges with E-999 so far.

If you are interested in what kind of deployment will occur when you find the password and unzip the ZIP file, please try playing by yourself. One play is about 10 to 15 minutes, and there are 4 patterns of endings. Also, communication using text files felt like exchanging messages with someone, and I felt a strange charm.

Regarding the capture of 'E-999', Mr. Seaeees has officially summarized it in a note.
