'Windows Autopatch' that automatically updates Windows will appear in July 2022

Microsoft: Windows Autopatch steals the'fun' from Patch Tuesdays

If Windows Update is set properly, the PC should basically be kept up to date, but in reality, it is disliked that files are downloaded in the background, and restart requests are troublesome. It may not be updated for various reasons, such as it may not be updated easily due to the software installed.

'Windows Autopatch' fills this update gap. The terminals in the organization are automatically classified into four rings: 'Test' for a small number, 'First' for about 1%, 'Fast' for about 10%, and 'Broad' for about 90%. The administrator can also move a particular device to another ring.

The update is first installed on the terminal of the 'Test' ring, and after the verification / test period, it is sequentially expanded to 'First' and then to 'Fast' and 'Broad'. Updates related to security, firmware, and essential functions will be deployed quickly, but changes that accompany changes in the UI and user experience will be deployed slowly.

In addition, Windows Autopatch is scheduled to be available to the general public from July 2022, and the function itself can be used for free, but it is said that a license for Windows Enterprise E3 is required.
