How is CoCo Ichibanya's limited-time menu 'Beef Curry' different from conventional beef curry? I actually tried to compare

'Beef Curry ' appeared on March 1, 2021 as a limited-time menu of the curry chain CoCo Ichibanya.

'Beef curry ' already exists as a regular menu at CoCo Ichibanya, and I was wondering how beef curry and beef curry are different, so I actually tried and compared them.

I came to CoCo Ichibanya.

At the storefront, there was a banner that appealed to the beef curry along with a copy saying 'Taste the rich sauce and tender beef.'

The beef curry lunch (933 yen including tax) looks like this. The spiciness is standard medium spiciness.

Compared to the regular menu beef curry bento (medium spicy, 629 yen including tax, left), the beef curry is thicker and bigger, and the color looks red and black.

When I try to eat it, the beef that has been cut into large pieces is simmered softly and has a high-class feel, and it has a firm texture. Roux has a slightly weak spice flavor, a strong sweetness, and a beef stew-like taste, but it does not have a deep taste like demiglace sauce, but it can be said to be a European-style curry system.

On the other hand, normal beef curry is completely different from beef curry because the peculiar habit of beef is blended into the roux of CoCo Ichibanya, and the pungent taste is felt. The meat is a little smaller than the beef curry, and the texture is firm. Beef curry is recommended for those who like the taste of CoCo Ichibanya, and beef curry is recommended for those who want to enjoy a different taste while chewing beef firmly.

Beef curry will be served from March 1, 2021 to the end of May. The in-store price is 950 yen including tax.
