A low-calorie spread with 80% water but creamy like butter is developed

Butter is about 75kcal per 10g, most of which is high-calorie food consisting of fat, but new food scientists have developed a low-calorie butter-like spread in which 80% of the ingredients are water. This buttery spread is 25.2 kcal per tablespoon.

According to researchers, it is possible to change the taste and functionality by adding milk or plant-based protein to this butter-like spread. Also, since water is a medium, it is possible to add nutrients, vitamins and flavors.
