You can download the preview version of Edge from the Microsoft Edge Insider site .

At the time of article creation, you can download the ' Dev Channel ' and ' Canary Channel '. The Canary Channel is the latest update, which is updated daily, but it is likely to include bugs that have not been discovered because they are the latest. Dev Channel will release once a week the most stable version of Canary version released that week as Dev version. These two are primarily for browser developers.

A more stable version than the Canary or Dev version will be released on Beta Channel , which is suitable for companies and regular developers to test the new Edge, but It will take a while. Also, at the time of writing, only Dev and Canary versions can be downloaded for Windows 10. However, in the future, it is expected that other versions of Windows and Edge for macOS will be released.

In addition, Microsoft's team is also focusing on the development of Chromium in adopting Chromium, and it is said that updates by Microsoft engineers have been applied to Chromium more than 275 times since December 2018.

The new Edge user agent string uses ' Edg ' to avoid duplication with previous 'Edge'. For example, the user agent of Dev version at the time of article creation is as follows.

[code] Mozilla / 5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit / 537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome / 74.0.3729.48 Safari / 537.36 Edg / 74.1.9.24 [/ code]
